The Duke of Edinburgh received its licence in 1868 when it was transferred from a house called the Bricklayers Arms. The pub is just along the road from Maidstone Hospital.
The pub is best known for its 100% Gluten-free pub kitchen, whilst maintaining a local pub feel with pool table, darts, petanque piste and several screens showing Sky and BT sports,
Customers can enjoy food in the main bar area watching their favourite sports, relax with a drink in the snug area or while away the hours with friends on the patio garden.
The University College for the Creative Arts at Maidstone is just down the Tonbridge Road towards Maidstone, next to Oakwood Park and Maidstone Town Centre is only two miles away.
Whatever your preference; food or drink, social or relaxed, then we've created a haven where you'll be welcomed and can forget the world outside!
Have eaten here twice now and the food has been superb on both occasions. Being gluten free it's great to eat 'normal' food - garlic bread, pizza! My non gluten free friends were also impressed.

I was really curious about the gluten free menu, as haven't tried it before. The food was absolutely delicious. The service and atmosphere was great too and I will definitely go again.
